i cant wait to have it done dan, got the engine and box ready to go in at home. going to bingley next weekend to buy some more bits! what colour you having your one done? i still haven't seen yours yet!!

sorry, hasn't been much progress of late! quick update:

went to bingley hall last weekend, bought the following parts:

new 3 core 'cooper s' spec (according to mini speed) rad £42

central oil pickup £26

halogen headlamps from minispares £29

second hand rad cowling £5 (which i have since refurbed at work, pictures to follow!)

old AA grille badge £6

a roll of black carpet and a roll of sound deadning for £17

rear mount spot lamp (considering putting it onto the back of the van, what you lot think?) £10, bargain or what!!

locking seat subframes, brand new from minisport £80 for the pair!

think that was about it, pictures will follow tomorrow if i have a chance!

right quick update, sourced a good second hand door (bought it feb 09!) for £20, the guy had took it off his mk1 cooper in the 70's, been in his barn since. it is better than it looks, the skin is still attached at the bottom, the window runners are good too!! bargain or what??

Thats a mk2 door with stud with handle......................

not 2 bad alex could do with some more money and time but im sure ill get there b4 riv run

after some time we finally have progress lol!! the wiring loom has been cut out, and the front end has been cut off!

cleaned up the bulkhead with a wire brush type attachment on the end of an angle grinder (can't think of the correct name for it lol)
