Oh yes I can remember a 1969 film called 'Crossplot' that featured a red Mini that got used by ex-James Bond star Roger Moore in a getaway. The Mini then got thrown off a cliff.

I can also remember an Aussie film called 'Run Chrissy Run' that featured a blue Aussie Mini Clubman that got used by a mother and daughter (the daughter used to appear in the Aussie soap 'Neighbour's and no I'm not a fan) as a getaway car and yes it got thrown off a cliff and landed in a pond (or billabong or whatever they call it over there).

Plus there's the 1967 film 'Robbery' that featured a Mini whizzing out the back of a moving lorry and then speeding off after the driver had helped someone escape from jail. I believe the film was based on the great train robbery and I've heard the Mini getaway sequence did influence 'The Italian Job' a bit. But then I guess it would since the Producer was Micheal Deeley who then also directed 'The Italian Job'.

Oh and we all forgot about Mr Bean. As for the movie versions, you must check out 'Mr Bean's Holiday' because that is very good and features a lovely Mini.

Does anyone know of a film in which some techie hot shot lad goes to college and is challenged to build marketable computer for $100 or less? I only ask as I seem to remember the bad guy in it (teachers assistant or something) uses a Tamiya Mini with a web cam on it to spy on this lad as he's developing this computer with his ban d of miss fits.

I've been trying to figure out what's it's called for ages but had no luck. :)

That dodgy Ant & Dec film, 'Alien Autopsy'. There's a Mini parked outside their house near the beginning. *piccy*

Dammit Raz - you stole my thunder! I was reading this topic thinking to myself "no one's mentioned Four Weddings (!)" until I read your post! :D

However, whilst this isn't a film, the new series of Doctor Who, specifically the Chris Eccleston series, Rose Tyler's boyfriend Mikey has 2 minis throughout the series :)

A yellow one in episode one - 'Rose' , he's sat inside it just before he gets eaten by a wheeliebin

And in the very last last, episode 13 - 'The parting of the ways', he's pulling the console of the TARDIS with a little black mini with a union jack roof :geek:
