What will the temperature be like in your garage?

why not get underseal in an aerosul and spray it on, ive been doing this today. remember to warm the can up infront of an heater first and shake well. it gives a much better finish aswell.

warm the cans up before use then to make it easier to brush.

i did some painting on the chassis of Dolly the camper last night

i surrounded the area with a dust sheet to keep the heat in and left a small fan heater in there with the thermostat set on low

Your mini is likely to have been through a few winters and survived im sure it will be ok through this one ... id wait til the summer then you can do a proper job without worrying about wether your hands are going to fall off :)

slap it on with a brush-thats the way i did mine too- when on fine. i think because of its consistency it remains still brushable-mine was fine- and you want a good thick layer anyway.

if you want to make it a little easier, put the tin in the house maybe next to a radiator overnight.

priority is making sure you've cleaned the underside properly first.

As said, would think underseal is ok to apply in this weather- it's good advice to warm it first though.

The question is, what are you painting it over?! :) :o

well under the car is solid there is a little surface rust but i reckon wire brush it and then slap it on i will make sure there is no mud or dirt or anything just good metal(hopefully)

Well in that case I would recommend a decent non-setting underseal like 'Hammerite underbody seal with waxoil'. I'd hope you can't buy the old-type stuff anymore that sets hard- it used to cause more trouble than good.

Before you apply it, de-grease, wash and then dry the panelwork first, as best you can. You really don't want to be trapping the recent road salt in there!!
