Howley Inlet Manifold

so i was just wondering if anyone had any info on it? like what period it was from and what kinda minis were they used on etc?

David Vizard gives the Howley a fair few praises in the yellow Bible, Its got a higher flow rate than most of the usual manufacturers Alloy Inlets supplied that get supplied in Stage 1 kits.
The castings seemed to be good too - I didn't need to weld a half washer onto the flange for the manifold nuts to sit straight which makes a nice change.

These inlet manifolds were produced by 'Howley Racing' which was originally based in Howley, Warrington in the sixties. It was an old terraced house where they started which was a speed shop and they used to run a black six wheeled Mini pick up as a breakdown vehicle.my last one:
They moved to custom built premesis on Winwick Road Warrington when the old terraced houses were demolished.
Howley Racing raced in saloon car racing and a bit of rallying but shut down I think in the nineties after slimming the company down failed to be profitable.
