I have a quick question about your tubbing, as I was thinking of doing it myself, not sure yet.
Maybe a stupid question but anyway I'll use a drawing to help me point out what I am talking about
Black lines= the new metal
red lines= the exsisting wheel arch and body panel
yellow spots= where you spot welded
green mess= wheel
blue arrow= pointing towards the bit in question
My question is, what have you done/going to do about the small step from the rear panel to the trim lip you made?

There isn't really much of a gap as the new lip section is fairly closely butted up to the quarter in most places but I'll probably run a bead of braze or lead load the seam to keep it sealed.

I also bought a set of beefy ex Mini Se7en AVO dampers that should be with me this week. (pics when they arrive)
As I was welding the O/S tub in I noticed a bit of corrosion in the top shock mount so I think I'm going to cut them out and make a smaller version of our coil over turrets to weld in their place.

I stuck the 10s back under (again I know) to see what kind of ground clearance I'd be looking at. I think I'll be around 100MM from the black stuff before I have to worry about the tyres scuffing on the arches.
I also cut the two vertical braces out from the lower valance vent to make way for an intercooler.

I started off using a combination of snips and the body saw to remove the old lip.
Then I made the new section on the shrinker stretcher, it's getting so easy to use this thing now.
Set it in place and drilled it for skin pins.
Wheels are looking much better now.

I got the raised trim lips on both wings finished off this afternoon, really could do with getting it rolling now.

Love this
Thanks Ben, can't wait to get your car down here for some sweet mods.
great work again and may seem a bit wierd me asking this but i want to tub my estate as well if i gave you a few pennys could you fabricate the lips and the arch extenstion bit for me for both sides as the stretcher tool at collage was scrapped last week
I can't see why not, I've already started making templates of the arch shapes for when we tub our other in house projects. I should be able to make a set up and post them to you no problem.
