Hey, just a quick question.... im looking for some prices to hire a spot welder for a weekend to do two rear quarter panels and i was wondering if anyone knew anywhere other than HSS who hire them out at £50 plus vat for a weekend ?, is that about the going price as ive been in touch with Lord tool hire and they dont have that type of welder on hire?.

Cheers
John

best bet is to buy a used one off fleabay and stick it back on when you are done with it.
watch out though, a lot of standard electrodes are a bit too far back in the arms so you can't weld a lot of the seams with them.

Also make sure the circuit you are planning to run it from is up to the job as there arn't many that will run from a domestic 13amp socket.

Also how did your powder coating turn out?
