Atspeed Racing Class 5 Autograss Car

I will be using a 1400 8v alloy TU engine.
So we all know what the racing is gonna be like here's a few clips.

This is how the basic build will go.
As you can see there is a lot of fabrication!
So we need to start with a good donor vehicle.
And what a gem she is! A lovely pooh brown 1982 mini! mmm
A lovely "tea towel" style interior.
First thing to do. Totaly strip it.
I had it to this stage after 2 hours.
Tucked away in the corner.
Some lil things i found hiding in various parts of the car.
That was it for my first days work. Because the floor of the car will be totally removed i wont be able to move it. So it needs some wheels.
Heres a trolly cage thing i stole from next door . The castors were needed for something far more important!
Heres a few pictures of the start of my car trolly.
Just needs some connecting bars to go form the trolly to the shell now. Which i will do once i remove the engine and subframes.

Concord essex. Got the 2008 national class 5 champion. And the winner of most of the class 5 BAS rounds Antony Jackson (C48E) at my club. Nothing like making life easy for myself. lol

It took me ages to come up with it but it came to me in a moment of genius lol.i love how old skool and orignal that was
think he ment the car
think the shell i have was ment to be for this class have advertized it a few times and had loads of people say they want it but all turned out to be tyre kickers

Its like mine but yours is a year older
Makes me quite sad actually as my car could be like that if it had been looked after

doubt its a class 5 as it still has its floor. dunno what it could be used for.
Its to good to cut up really. But i cant complain as it was free!!Nice car mate

I am. I own a rolling road centre. I also build race engines, carry out turbo conversions, fabrication, wiring looms and race and rally prep. Anything really.ha ha whos building the engine for you?ha ha no just not many people put there build threads on lol and scarborough you??
