how hard is that to fit in the car lol
1 broken finger and hand cut open later its in.
man is it just me who found it stupidly hard to fit, or has any one else struggled.
the bars that go behind the front setas are wider than the a posts lol

most cages are installed with the assistance of ratchet straps...
If they weren't tight fits they would be even more useless than they already are in a road car.

This, basically, is what you do:
Take both front seats out.
Lay the cage in with the hoop onto the floor in the front of the car, top of the hoop towards the front bulkhead.
Get a ratchet strap and strap the two stays together about 10" up from their base.
Ratchet the straps to pull the bottom of the hoop inwards until it will just clear the 'B-post'.
Put the hoop stays into position over the rear bins, slackening off the ratchet straps slightly a bit-by-bit as you go whilst rotating the cage into the correct position.
Finally remove the ratchet straps and drop the feet of the front hoop right into the bin bottom.
Do it all very carefully!
It helps if you make a template in cardboard of the bolt positions on the feet under the hoop as it can be difficult to drill correctly. Put a small drill through from the top to make an initial pilot hole, then back-drill from outside. You need 3/8" UNF bolts and a 3/16" doubler plate welded onto the outside of the sill as a load-spreader.
To drill off for the rear stays you need someone to sit in the car with their feet pusing on the stay as you drill through doing one side at a time, not forgetting that the outer doubler plates will need to be slightly curved to match the wheel arch.
Dont bolt up fully tight until all feet, stays and doubler plates are in their correct places.
