Because the K series is a very good engine if you get to grips with its head gasket issues.

There are a few minor bits you could use. The rear brakes, various electronics, the front seats.

The boot light is quite useful for use on a mini. Even comes with its own little mounting bracket.
All the bulbs can be re-used.
The little plastic ashtray's are the same as the one in the Minis top dash rail
The battery will work too. (Assuming that its any good)
The cap off the washer bottle is the same as a Minis.
The washer pumps look the same as Mini ones however the intake pipe on the bottom is longer on the Metro and wont fit properly into the
minis washer bottle. You can however snip the connectors off the loom and reuse those as they are the same as later Mini ones.
The centre console bit in front of the gearstick.
The door pockets will fit Mini doors but they are longer than the standard mini ones and you may have to cut a hole behind the speaker for it
to fit properly.
The master cylinder cap is the same as a minis.
Dont quote me on this but the inertia switch under bonnet MAY be be same as the one on the SPi/Mpi Minis
The courtesy light switches in the door pillars are worth keeping as well as the cigar lighter assembly.
