Are they open this week?
I've tried ringing several times, but it rings out, however on their website it says their office status is "OPEN"???

I've been trying to get through to them as well with no answer. I think the thing on the website is just automated.

MED are really good when it comes to answering phones, try again on the 4th January. Most machining and engine places are closed until the 4th.
