this weekends progress got the whole shell rolling now sorted the dodgy hub out by replacing it and fitted the rear subframe. got the handbrake linked up and skinned the door

there not going to stay unfortunately there ians slicks for the strip

made all of the brake pipes tonight and put my revolutions on

right i had to take the enine back out again to fit therubber dust seals to the top arms and get the rear mount sorted out as it was sitting to high

modified mount pics i had to make the mount nearly 1 &1/2inches shorter to make the engine sit correctly

also obtained myself a lucas reverse light to go with the mk2 lights

tried to start the engine tonight i have got fuel, spark, and air going to the engine but it doesnt want to fire all i can think is that the timing is out somewhere


any ideas?

Nice reading through your WIP mate, i'm planning on doing the c20xe conversion on a clubman.

Was this your first choice of engine or did you contemplate the Vtec ??

i have checked the leads and everything was the first think i checked


this wasnt my first choice i was lookinn at a small block vauxhall but it has always been aimed towards vauxhall for the simplicity of the engines

i feel like such a di.ck head right now it was something as simple as the leads on wrong was one of those 3am rush jobs and wasnt really with it lol never mind its started now

right i cancelled the mot as i am still strugling to get the hazzards working properly.

i think its the funky switch i am using that is causing the problems. got ma dad coming to look at it and help me out soon so hopefully will have it in for mot next week.

started on my bike carb conversion today as my mate kindly dropped my flange down that he kindly made me so i set about making my manifold and painting it

and i have got this kicking about but not sure if it will work its from a 1.4spi corsa it fits in the end of the cam case and the cam
