Used one as an auxiliary extra silencer on a car that required 2 boxes. The exhaust was pretty pretty quite anyway and certainly couldn't be heard above the straight cut gears. Really handy for fitting into the tunnel. The tailbox was a Triumph 2000 pi by the way, straight through 2" diameter and fits into the rear subframe with a straight exhaust.

Hey, check my mates thread out. he's running my cherry bomb on his car

LINKY

Its a genuine cherry bomb. I personally dont think its that loud. From what I can remember he's running a 2" straight through system to it as well. 1275 with twins bolted to it.

It sounds gorgeous though. Good deep bellow. I personally find its the none genuine ones that are TOO loud and basically make your car sound like its not running a backbox.

Its very difficult to source a proper cherry bomb and new ones on ebay arent proper cherry bombs.

If you get one, make sure its about 10 years old and come off a capri lol. Then itll be a proper one.

It'll probably be more than 10 years old if it comes off a Capri!

Are you suggesting that Ford Crapis have become non existent in the last 10 years?
