Oops! It's been a while!
I have so much to say but far too tired! I just want to show you a picture! I'm not going to lie, I was almost in tears when the carpet went down yesterday and the fireplace went in today!
I love my fiancé soooo much - he's just so clever!

Thanks Teapot - I'm glad you like it! Took ages to find tiles we were happy with, ended up with these from Fired Earth. £3 each, which I thought was pretty reasonable & they're all different and handmade. Very happy with the fireplace.

Ooh! I didn't show you Christmas! 
We tried SO hard to finish the dining room floor!
But in the end, it took 960kg of concrete ...
And we didn't manage to finish it & clean up and lay the hundreds and hundreds of reclaimed oak parquet floor!
So, we improvised!
Painted EVERYTHING white & ended up with this!

It just took me an hour to read gthis bit by bit and may i say what an increddible job you have done it is all stunning and that kitchen it out of this world wow just WOW! You must be so proud of what you have done so far! Anything else happened?
