Another productive day at the house today!

Today, we moved a few essential bits and bobs in - cutlery, tea, y'know! ...


We had the intention of stripping the walls back with the steamer!! ...

But went to make a cup of tea...



Whoops!!!

Reggie looked-on from his snowy seat and wondered what on earth was going on!!




We started stripping the walls back properly - the condition of the plaster is pretty amazing!!






We found the remains of a picture rail!!





We will be re-instating that though!



These, however...



... will be going as soon as possible!!



Then, we stopped for lunch!

Out came the camping stove...





Et Voila... A candle-lit meal!!





And... after lunch?

What's better than an afternoon by the fire?







The first time that fire's been lit in over 20 years!! It was fantastic!!


Anyways, more wallpaper stripping tomorrow! Along with some investigative probing!!

The floor in the dining room is, weirdly, concrete! When drilled into it, it seems to go 6 inches, then goes into nothing!!
