Anyone know where I might find some nice lights? Looking for some kind of chandelier, but not utterly ghastly - something with a modern twist, but with a lot of 'presence' - If that makes any sense.

Can't find anything I like, again, and I can't paint it myself, this time :)

If you google "modern chandelier" images and spot the sort of style you want we can all have a search for stockists.

Mrs Pooky and I are (hopefully) just about to buy our first house together and have been looking for furniture and lighting suppliers and found Dwell. Don't know if this is the sort of thing you had in mind but thought it wouldn't hurt showing you >_<

They've even got a cushion with a Mini on clicky!

:)

you'd better have been busy elsewhere if all you've been doing is choosing light fittings and sanding door frames.

oh, yeah, I can see by Reggies thread you've been ever so busy in the garage.... :) :o

I've been incredibly busy, thank you! :P

Short update, this morning - will do a full one later this evening.

But what I will say, is that we spent our first night in the house, last night!

(We've not moved in, but thought we'd try it out for size, lol :))

A roaring fire, dinner cooked on our camping stove and a DVD on my Mac :D

I know it doesn't look a lot in the photos, but to me, it's perfect!

And, what were we treated with?

A glorious sunset over the Malvern's!

This is the view from the bedroom window!

Hehe, Teapot, I know!

Hey, Tom! :) We've literally just fixed in place the smallest window - ready to finish the plasterboard around it, now!

Next, we're going to do the large window - hope to get it finished before we lose the light! K's just nipped out for some more DPC, so I've sneaked online, to check a couple of auctions I'm looking at!

Photos later!

(Apologies for the awful grammar and spelling in my last post! :D I typed it from the other side of the front room!)

I know, stunning, isn't it?

Both windows are in! :D Currently boxing them in

As soon as we finish off the inside walls, we can get the plasterer back...

Then units! :)

Proper update, when I'm not covered in dust!
