I've not, no - Might have a wander round at some point, thanks.

Well, that door came back up on eBay - And I won it at £70 :P

I'm thinking black?

Hopefully once we get that in ... that horrible porch can come down!

Got rather more important things going on at the moment, so doubt progress will be soon! :genius:

Are you getting rid of the fingers or keeping them?

:)

I'm not sure if the disembodied fingers come with it, but I will definitely check that out. :)

Replied! :)

Well - We collected our front door!! :)

And, this evening, tried it out for size (wedged it in place) - It's an almost perfect fit ... just needs a little taking off the bottom! Then needs stripping and painting ...

Although, the house that we collected it from had a very, very nice doorbell - One of those recessed brass ones, with a little china 'PUSH' in the middle! ... I want one now :( (actually, you can see hers in the photo of the door above!)

K has also been shopping on eBay :)

We've bought 2 matching fireplaces, from a chap in Hereford - Will be good for the bedrooms - I love that they match - They'll look like they're meant to be there! :)

We also took a chance and bid on another fireplace near Tewkesbury... Think this might suit the dining room? Depends whether I find a nice log-burner or not instead (and the bloomin' flue at a decent price!)

Anyway ... we managed to win it ... But the price was a little away from what we expected to pay :)

:)

They also said that we could have the large wooden surround, seeing as no-one had bid on it as a separate item...

Result! :P

That's exactly it, lol - I really want one of them! :P *saves photo* :D Fanks! :D

I'd prefer to go original and take the flue the whole height, but depends on cost - The flue is just horrendous! :gimme:

Bean, just seen the picture of the door (previous replies via work :D but cant see photos ) and we very nearly had a bidding war between us lol as I was watching that one also. It wasnt quite big enough for my front door though

Lol, good job you didn't bid - I'd have been gutted!! :ermm: :P

(FYI - It didn't come with the fingers.)

It's still sitting in the hall, waiting for us to sort the locks out and trim a little off the bottom.

Um, any updates? Not really :P

We got the fireplaces home, so have got a lot of stripping down to do! :D

K has been on a Honeywell course and has lots of new ideas for our heating system! :P :)

Still wondering about sorting the window sizes in the brickwork - And we also want an arch over the biggest window in the kitchen, to match the door and other window - But I'll leave that job to K & E_E :D :P

Other than that, I have no idea where my time is going at the moment.

We'd like to be in for christmas though, so we'll have to start with the big push again! :)
