Bec - Only just seen your message!! Garden full of cabbages sounds good to me!? Do you do peppers & chillis, too? :)

I was out in the garden today - Trying to save a bush from a maaaassive amount of vines that were trying to kill it!! :)

I have some more photos of my phone, but my computer's going completely mental at the moment, which is proving really difficult to type!

Very smart Bean.

Looks like you'll be having plenty of plug sockets in there.......You can never have too many!

Great work, look forward to seeing more.

Regards

Steve

Whoops!! Sorry! See - Told you it was difficult!

(Actually - it still is on Internet Explorer - Don't know what an earth is going on!! :errr:)

Yeah - Well, we figured that we didn't want to be short on sockets in the kitchen, so threw a decent amount in, just to be on the safe side. Think we've got 6 double sockets & a telly point. Obviously one of those is for the fridge and the cooker (it's a full gas cooker, so it's just for the ignition, clock and lights).

And, because I'm so picky - All of the wiring and sockets have been laid according to the tiles - So they will all be sitting nicely in the middle of a tile!! :)

If its worth doing, its worth doing properly! Cooker looks great in there. And nice idea with the plugs, its great having lots spare. I've got a 1950s kenwood chef thats big and awkward, and theres only one tiny bit of surface I can use it on thats near a free socket :)

Yep!! Very!! :w00t:

It's the one thing that I've always been concerned about & the one thing that's really held us back! (Mainly due to people saying that they'd sort something out, then go very quiet!)

Anyways - The company that I found have been aaaamazing!!! Will inform you of their quality as soon as I see them!!!

Ooooh - Can't wait!! ;)

(Hmm - Really want to see them! - Do you think I could fit them both in the Mini? :w00t:)

That'd be amazing!

We shall have to start veg-swapping! :errr:

Hehehehehe - Thank you!! Love the cooker!! :P

It's not wired up, or plumbed in, but I love looking at it none-the-less :P

Found some nice yummy venetian wooden blinds, made to measure. Just need to make sure that we can sit the windows on the outer course of the wall, before buying recessed blinds!

:D

Found some aaaamazing wallpaper last night as well - Rather sadly, I watched 60 Minute Makeover for the first time in aaaages - And there was an absolutely gorgeous green wallpaper on there - It was sooo yummy - But they didn't tell you who it was in the round-up and I had tuned in half way through, so didn't get to see them apply it!!

Had a look for it today, but don't think I'll ever find it!! I loved it! :ermm:

Which reminds me - Still need to decide on a colour for the kitchen - Really not sure what to go for!!

you seem to have the same taste as me :turtle:

I sold a house in january that i did from a shell, put oak floors down, range cooker, oak shaker kitchen, american style fridge freezer ect, made 75k on it after the money id spent so its really worth doing and doing to a high standard imo

Good luck with the rest of it

Thanks, wolfie - Really appreciate it! :)

I just figure that if you're going to do it at all, it might as well be done properly. I'm banking on the fact that we won't have to re-do anything for 10-15 years, rather than 5! So you pay out more in the long-run, but it'll last? Well, that's the theory anyway - I'll tell you in 10 years if it worked or not, lol :ermm:

Nice to hear that you made some moneys at times like this - It's always encouraging, really!

Best one to have, eh? :turtle:

And yes....

We have windows!! :dontgetit: :)

Photos tomorrow! :ermm:
