Can I help you choose this weekend please? Can you get some of those seats too like they used to have in McDonalds - plastic mushroom ones, and put them in my pink room?

I can't wait to get to properly decorate a house of my own in the next few years :w00t:

Seriously though - did you do the plastering yourselves? I had a go at it - I admire anyone who can ;)

whenever i have a flat pack in the house i have to assembale it, worrying fetish lol lol

I am the same.
When i re-did my bedroom and got everything new. the furniture arrived before id got the new carpet fitted.
I got too excited and just put it all together anyway. when my mom came home to a living room full of my furniture she wasn't best happy lmao!
Luckily there wasn't a wardrobe in the mix.

Looking Good anyways Bean!

Lol

I have recently redecorated the bedroom and all my flat packs were in garage waiting for me to assemble, i held out till carpet was in lol

No, we didn't plaster it ourselves - I wanted it to actually look decent, and without my ham-fisted accuracy, lol :geek:

>_< to a plastered house! I quite like plastering, helped my dad do some whilst he was doing my brother's house. I liked the splat noise when you throw it at the wall but getting a good flat finish is so hard! (hence why my bro got a professional to do the finishing layer!)

Piccies miss Bean, piccies!!

I will sort piccies out! Only on my phone though ... and I can't get them off and on to the computer!

I wouldn't have minded having a go - Maybe I will later on in the house!! :geek:

But we had the ceiling done and the main wall is 5.2 metres long ... it needed to be perfect really, lol.

We managed to get 13 square metres of flooring and 2 rolls of underlay home in Mum's car, lol ... a Honda HRV! >_<

Not bad going, considering each pack is 2.2m long

Yes - I have pictures, lol :(

I think good plastering is a gift not a profession.

Those who can plaster, can plaster. Those who can do it really, really well are artists and worth every penny.

Way to spot a good un'? Bit like decorators, if you have to wait a while for their services, they're usually very good.

Nice to see things are moving on Bean.

I think you're right!

The finish that he's got is very, very smooth - I think he's done really well, actually. We did the plasterboarding and the taping of the joints etc - We just wanted him to skim it over - But it all looks very, very good! :geek:

The guy that did it has done a lot of work on some of my boss's properties, so came recommended from the outset, which gave me the confidence in him, really!

The boxes are chopped out for the plugs etc, too!!

We just need to lift the tiles that are on the floor now, and then chop out a load of concrete!! ... >_<

Miss Picky here fell in love with some solid wood flooring which is 18mm thick! Whoops
