hi just a reminder for you. remember to screw the kicthen unit legs open enough so you can get the finishing board in.(the piece from floor to unit). i forgot to do it after i'd drilled the units to the wall. and 4yrs later the finishing board is still lying flat in the garage. lol.

dam the missis just saw this and now wants me to get the jigsaw out, lol

Hehe - Glad to have been of service! :P

Thanks for the heads up though - appreciate it. We've already set our height for the units, really - We're working to a limited height for the wall cupboards at the far end, which actually happens to work out just right :)

Dan - Yes, that is a worrying fetish! :errr:

:P

I'd like to say it's therapeutic, but it really isn't

Hmmm yeh i suppose..

I think it is to a certain point, until maybe you find out that you put panel A where panel C is supposed to go..and B maybe is supposed to go where panel A is......

One of the instruction pages has 3 "Step 1" stages on it!! :)

Plus ... we've got an 800 pan drawer ... but they don't give you ANY instructions on when to put the drawers in! They just assume that you know! The instructions are just for the 800 cupboard and you have to battle through it all!!

Seem to have got through it now though - So should be alright! :P

But they give you just a random amount of nails for the backs (usually too little), too many spare dowels & not enough screws! :errr:

Oh well ... Seems to be goin' alright anyways! :P

Spent most of yesterday trying to find some flooring that we like! ;)

I think we've decided on wood, but god knows what - The only ones I like are just silly money! :(

We made the awful mistake of going 'round reclamation yards yesterday, too - Just to see if they might have anything of interest!!

There was a nice floor .... at £140 per m2

Still - We got a free hot chocolate from them, so it wasn't a totally wasted day!! :D

:)

If anyone knows of some nice solid oak flooring (wide planks) - For ooooh, £2 per m2 ... send me a PM!? lol :dontgetit:

Crude? No no, lol - eBay rules! I've been scouring it for our new front door, lol ;)

We've looked, but it's really hard to tell what it's actually like just from a photo. Photos can be edited and the colour of the wood changed slightly - We need something that won't clash with the solid wood worktop - plus I'm really annoyingly particular ... :D

But ... once we find something we think we like, we'll get a sample just to make sure - The perfect floor is out there, just need to track it down, that's all!! :( (And ask for a pay-rise, lol)

I am the same.
When i re-did my bedroom and got everything new. the furniture arrived before id got the new carpet fitted.
I got too excited and just put it all together anyway. when my mom came home to a living room full of my furniture she wasn't best happy lmao!
Luckily there wasn't a wardrobe in the mix.

Looking Good anyways Bean!
