I've done 5 in total since Saturday :P Just did another one tonight ... only another 9 or 10 to go, then! :dontgetit:

Haha, had the same problem when I came to putting the door on the new dish washer (to make it match the rest of the other cabinets)

:)

It might have taken 7 hours, but when you factor in Beans tea breaks every 10 mins it only took her 1 hour!

It's OK, Han - You're not missing anything but really bad quality phone photos at the moment, lol :P

I will add some more later!!! :)

Well, I've finally got 'round to plugging my camera in!

As of the end of last Sunday, we'd managed to:

Run the plumbing
Sort the wiring for the spotlights
Isulate the end wall - E_E made a rather fantastic frame for the end & fits like a glove!
Installed the false ceiling beams
Plasterboarded the majority of the room!

And me? I've been building the kitchen!!

Here's the piccies!!

The cooker arrived!!

(Proper piccies!)

The kitchen was stripped right back! :D

Plsterboarding & where we got to at the end of last weekend:

The kitchen arrived:

My big jigsaw!! ;)

This is the one that took me 7 hours!! :-

After that ... there was no stopping me!!

Posted Image

Until I sliced my finger open! :errr:

We also spent some moneys on our wall-tiles!! :w00t:

Posted Image

The first set we found & that I fell in love with were £150 + VAT .... (PER SQM!) :w00t:

But, saying that, I much prefer the ones that we've actually bought - I think they're rather yummy!!

But they weigh a ton! The Golf was pretty much scraping on the floor on the way home, lol.

Talking of floor! ... ;)

We bought the unit into the kitchen, just to see what we think of the existing floor.

Posted Image

Some say that it's original, but I just can't see it myself. It looks too 'square' and perfect for 1905! I'm undecided on this at the moment...!

Anywho - More this weekend!! :)

Most of the kitchen now boarded ... thanks E_E!! :)

Hopefully we'll be getting some lovely wooden windows made very soon...

More photos when I don't leave my camera at the house & my keys at my parents!

;)

EDIT: Oh, and I made 3 more units!! ;)

That explains it then, reading the instructions, no wonder it took a while.

When you come to drill the handle holes, make sure you hold a piece of scrap wood on the other side of the door / drawer front. Makes a much neater hole and stops any chance of damaging the finish as the drill bit pops through.

Top tip!! Thanks Steve. I certainly will!

I think I'll have to have something to calm my nerves before I do them though - I couldn't live with myself if I messed it up, lol :)
