say this bumper comes off the car on the highway at like 60-70mph because the plastic cable ties don't hold any longer,
theirs a reason why the bumpers use nuts/washers to hold them onto the car, i hope no one gets hurt because your to cheap to build up the car right in the 1st place
i am 100% against people doing unsafe work on any type of vehicle, no matter how small the job may be

It'd be worse to have them held on by rusted through nuts/bolts.

Have you ever tryed breaking a thick cable tie? They're tough! I've got 2 on each bolt hole, so six in total on each bumper. The bumpers weigh next to nothing and their not exactly being dragged off by the passing air either.
It'd be worse to have them held on by rusted through nuts/bolts.
Have you ever tried breaking a fixed bolt? Its harder!

Personally cable ties are fine for emergency repairs only, if the bolts dont fit then make the holes bigger to make them fit. Its probably not by much that they are not meeting. I had to be quite forceful when fitting my new front bumper to my new front panel. Now that its fitted there ain't no way that puppy is coming off.... just like the old bumper which I had to grind off my old front panel. There ain't nothin' in this world tougher than a rusted on nut!

I've tryed yanking my bumpers off though to make sure they're secure and they weren't moving anywhere.
I've had them like that for a few months of driving, then im planning to buy some new stainless items....

I will get round to drilling holes, but only when i find the suitable bolts that fit the fixed nut... Say Imperial to the guys out here and they think your talking about Gin....!
