my petrol gauge is not reading at all there is deffinately petrol in there and it was working before my sound system was fitted any ideas on how this might effect it? or do u think one of the wires is hanging out?

cant check it because its at the garage at the mo

Could be a disconected wire on the fuel tank, they arn't that secure, that would be the first place i'd check.

If you remove the wire from the sender (tank) and earth it. With the ignition on the gauge should read full.
