Getting my mini back sometime next week. Like always the was a bit more rust then first thought so it's all been cut out, there was some on the floor by the drives side sill, some more behind the sill and some more behind the a panel. I'm kinda glad the car has been in the garage with all this weather we are having though, still I can't wait to get it back, but it's going straight for an MOT when it ready so fingers crossed!

Nah, still ain't got it back yet. It has taken a lot longer then we originally thought. The guy thats doing it for me is back in work now so it's taking longer still. I'm going to phone him later to ask how much long he thinks it will be. I suppose it's good that he isn't rushing it though.

I post up later on what he says. Fingers crossed it won't be much longer!!!

I ordered some Overriders and Corner Bars today but they'll probably come before i get the car back anyway. Should be getting the car back on Monday, then i just got to re-fit the carpets, put in some new front window seals, new stainless interior mirror, Mk1 Grille, Overriders and Corner Bars, Bonnet straps, Group 2 arches with the chrome strip and some Morris badges front and rear.

Think the car should look pretty nice and retro then!

Finally go my car back yesterday and it past the MOT today, yay....!

Here are some quick photos off my phone for now, i'll take it out for a photoshoot when i get the new grille, overriders and things on it.

Yeah, thanks guys, I'm really happy with it, just can't wait to get the new parts, brightwork and stickers on now!

A friend of a friend did the job for me, he charged me £320 for labour and some materials and i bought all the panels myself which came to about £200 i think (2 sills, 2 doorsteps, an A panel and a hinge panel). Not to bad really, it wasn't to far off a full spray job, both sides were sprayed and most of the front drivers side wing.

Have you got the mk1 grill on yet? If so I'd love to see some pictures.

Also are you planning to lower it all or just leave it how it is?

As you know I'm hoping to do something similar to my S reg tahiti MPI (non-cooper) so would love to see how the grill with the 10's look on yours.

If it was mine id def change the exhaust just so I could lower the ride height
