Well thank you Joish for answering on behalf of the entire forum, obviously none of our thousands of members would have more experience than you do in this regard.
The plastic brackets in the late model sunvisors just push into the end of the tube inside, they can easily be removed and replaced or fitted to a new visor (which always come without brackets, they are a seperate part). The brackets you have now though may well be quite worn, new sets are available and aren't expensive. As above, Newton Commercial make the best original spec interior parts.

cheersThere are two types of pegs for the visors. Earlier metal framed ones have cam lobe like mouldings on them which hold the visor in situ. The later visors have plastic internals and smooth pegs. obviously you can only use each type of peg with the correct visor.
