Hi all

Right then I have finished off the sill, and if I do say so myself for my first time in changing a sill I'm really happy with it.

Posted Image

Those sills should be seam welded mate and not just tacked on :) nice project keep at it, it's going to be a nice car when you are finished 8)

If u take a look at a previous pic of the sill, u will see that I have plug welded it all the way along. But I must say well spotted;)

Yer I can't wait till it's finished, and then I can compete in the Tarmac rally in October >_<

Cheers

Kev

Hi all

More work has been carried out, I removed the rear subframe to fit new rear adj brackets. Once done I then refitted it and started to fit the new brake lines.

I have now welded in the wiper motor support and sprayed the new bulkhead.

And the dashboard and inside of the car is now taking shape.

Going to order a flocking kit for the dash, I now also have a megajolt system to fit as well.

More updates soon.

Cheers
Kevin

Hi guys

Well it has been a long time since I have updated my mini build.

First thing is that I have now brought my mini home:)

Posted Image

So, I pulled the entire rollcage out so that I could reprint the inside of the car and do some tidying up the interior of the car. After it was all tidyed up i fitted my new rear carbon fibre rear panel

Posted Image
Posted Image
Posted Image

looks pretty sweet :)
Once fitted, I then bolted in the rollcage, which took some time.

Posted Image

I then started the job of fitting the fire extingushers, fuel line and pull cables

So i just to finish tidying up the plumbing of the extingisher into the engine, so i have ordered a bulkhead adaptor. (along with a whole load of other items)

Going to be placing a few large orders :) more updates to follow

cheers
Kevin

cracking build!

Thanks, I'm glad that you like the build, I just can't wait to drive it

Hi bard the bear, it's from eBay, if you search for "Rally Car Tunnel Mount Panel With FIA Battery Switch" you will find it, they also do another option with out the switch and pull cable for about £15. Hope that helps

I'd seen the carbon bulkhead before but I'm a little dubious about replacing the steel one for it completely.

It all looks great none the less. Can't wait for mine to be at this stage.

Hi kcchan

The original steel bulkhead is still in place, the main reason for fitting this carbon panel was due to the fact that the steel bulkhead had a number of redundant holes in it, so I decided to fit this over it, then from the other side (in the boot) I will fibreglass the entire backside of the bulkhead, to ensure that it is fully sealed from any fuel leaks in the event of a crash.

Hey George91

Yer it does look good, but as you will read above I have kept the steel bulkhead in place and placed the carbon panel over the top.

Cheers

Kevin
