Huey has been removed down to Paul Tupman Minis in Newton Abbot. I feel he now has someone to fight his corner when the assessor arrives. We have some serious talking to do.

Does anyone else think Huey should return low and wide on 10" wheels?...

Oh dear, now you've started me thinking ... all those lovely pickups I've seen on 10"ers ... there was a blue one at Castle Combe going like stink ... help!

That's good, much better if he gets a tick next to the box "Economical Repair" than not .

You know you want the wide tens Teapot, and as an argument for, I think if you'd have slipped on tens, the side wall of the tyre would have flexed and carried on skiding rather than digging in and rolling you on your side. Just something that crossed my mind.

See now I always thought Huey would look good on a set of wide 10's Shouldn't be too hard to do seeing as you already have discs. Just need one of the conversion kits. Alloy 4pots in blue would look the dogs danglies behind some nice resprayed (in bodycolour) 10" minilites! And yes, the sidewall of the tyre may have stopped something like this from happening

minimadjonesy, we need to build a "Huey on Tens" bandwagon, stat!

Then we just have to lure Teapot on to it, hehehe.

All aboard! ;)

Whatever happens those who have seen him so far say he can be rebuilt.

Im suprised. but that is good to hear anyway

Thanks again for all your messages. I had The Conversation with Paul Tupman today and as cooperdan seems to fear Huey will almost certainly be written off. The damage extends into the roof and we have to assume goes further above & below. The big question is what category write-off it is. Paul accepts that Huey must get back on the road somehow.
On the bright side, maybe we'll get the subframes squared up at last

EDIT There's always someone worse off than yourself ... linky ;)

Had a chat with the insurers today about write-off categories & options. They're waiting for an estimate of the repair cost from Paul.
