I've Just Crashed Huey

I was in a line of traffic on a downhill left-hand bend about a mile from where I live when the back end
came out very fast and Huey flipped on his offside. He then skated down the wrong side of the road for about 75 yards
in a shower of sparks. It was school chucking-out time so I was incredibly lucky there was a gap in the traffic
coming the other way. Right at the end he flipped back the right way up. I sat there listening to Chuck Berry
who was still singing "No particular Place to Go."
Well, the door is a good fit now
Hinges reshaped a bit. Front tyres brand new, rears still good tread.
Some guys in a van behind helped me bounce him into the side of the road. They picked up various bits including
a track rod and both wheelarches. I found his little door handle.
I called the local repair shop that has been looking after him but they couldn't fetch him because their trailer has been stolen!
Then the police arrived and insisted on calling their official recovery vehicle and he has gone miles away into Dorset.
I'm not sure what to do now, but I'll tell Adrian Flux about it tomorrow to see what they propose.
It may be the end of a great relationship.

But it really is good you're okay.
Me and you are both proving Minis aren't as unsafe as a lot of people think!

I know it doesn't help at all when people say it.
But it really is good you're okay.

At least he didn't hit the worlds most expensive gate though.
