Yeah, let's see what they have to say about installation methods. If you do have to modify the housing to take the new quickshift it aint the simple mod it is sold as.

I have one of these quickshifts too Guessworks (paid about £25 from MITP)

Very interested to see how it goes!

So if it fitted, would it be a simple modification? would I need to dismantle a lot to fit one?

Some of the adverts say "20 minutes and it's in!"

i'd be interested to see how this goes because i've always wanted one but could never justify the 90 odd quid KAD want!

I bet £90 from KAD would get you one that fits tho.

I'd guess that that is the old style one, without the lift-up collar.

ive got a quickshift from ebay, £20 and it broke in the first week, so i re-engineered it with much bigger bolts holding it onto the linkage box but ive still got the problem that in turns the reversing light on in 4th gear (ive disconected it now) in future i'd just go with the propper kad as i bet that actually works

But 90 quid?....for a gear stick?.....if i had ninty quid to spend on my mini i wouldn't spend it on a gear stick. have had a 25 quid quick shift fitted for two years apart from replacing the bolts a couple of months back it has been great, it give me a nice range of movement, i find the kad quickstik just a little too limited on movement, there is like a centimetre between each gear lol

yeah have to agree £90 is a lot for a gear stick i know that it will actually fit and you are guaranteed a good build qualitity but still it is a bit steep.

edit: but that really isnt relivant to this topic at all
