Highly recommend Halfords Prefessional Range, really good quality gear thats cheap and guarenteed for life.

I have a similar set, very handy!

thats the newer version of mine. tools in the set are really high quality and come with a lifetime guarentee(although after 6 years of abuse, i still havent had to take a single piece back)

only thing missing is imperial spanners but i have found with my black case that extra bits can be put inbetween the original tools.

my kit is permenantly in the scamp and comes out to play at virtually every show, fixing one mini or another, or mine

My Dad has just brought me that set for my 21st birthday. It looks really good and with my recent MOT failure will be getting a lot of use in the coming weeks lol.

We had a thread on Halfords tools the other day, and they got a thumbs up there. They are good tools, and for domestic use maintaining a mini are very well suited and priced! They aren't USA type snap-on, although I wouldn't be surprised to see they are manufactured by Bahco, Gearwrench and the like, in Asia, which could put the on par with some of the S-O Blue-point kit.

The set you have linked to, plus a set of the pro imperial spanners, would see you well set!

Can only agree with everybody else. I'm a stairlift engineer and I use my Halfords Professional kit all day everyday at work and then at weekends on the Mini. Best value on the market at the moment to my mind.

Hi have that exact set, for the money I think its a brilliant bit of kit. The carry case can be split in to two seperate trays and they fit brilliantly in my tool box.

I wasn't too impressed with the Dynamic set they had on display in the Halfords here. I'd really spend the extra and get the £99 (on current sale) halfords pro socket set. Itll be cheaper in the long run as you wont have to replace things as they fail.

I love my new halfords profesional set and for £100 off at the moment there a real steal.

On the same sort of topic i find this set of spanners really helpfull in the mini.

http://www.clarkeint...anners-wrenches

They are obviously shorter so when you have to get to the fuel pump or get the bell housing off (in car) they are brilliant.

Hi,

I have had a Halfords professional set similar to the one your looking at for 12 years and it is great never had any problems yet.

Martin.
