Hi Aric, I have found some small latching buttons. They are only 16mm deep with a 14mm cut-out. I am going to run these with relays as they are only rated 100 mA. Work out less than £20.00. The indicator module in the uk is is over £100. Spent enough on the R1 :'(

Ian,

I could pick up an indicator module for you here and mail it if you'd like.....I think it was something like $60USD to $70USD...

does the indicator module mean you can run indicators off 2 buttons on the steering wheel rather than stalks?

I'm doing my wipers by switches like this:

a SPST switch to turn the wipers on / off
a SPDT switch to toggle between high and low speed...

easy sneezy

Cheers,

Aric

Aric,

The car looks great! How does the body mount to the spaceframe?

Can you not use on off/on/on switch to switch between off/low speed/high speed? Or do they not exist?

Hi All.

I've added a poll on the top of this topic on a head scratcher I've been pondering lately....

Would love to hear your opinion.

Cheers,

Monte

You know, that's what I thought too having looked at some pictures, but I wonder how durable flocking woudl bre on a seating surface. maybe markrally or others can attest to it's durability? I contact Brammo (the US distributer for Atom) to ask what they use as they mfg some of the parts for the US Atoms here, including the seats, but never got a response. I wonder how I coudl find out for sure.....

Try sticking up a post on PistonHeads, or try contacting Ariel in England?

Hi Jammy,

Pistonheads is a good idea - thanks for the suggestion. Ariel UK does not list an e-mail address, only a phone number and it's really hard to call during the work week for me with the time difference....anyone on the other side of teh pond want to volunteer to help?

Aric

I know this might sound like a C**p idea, but if you mask off the seat leaving the bits that are getting the most wear, sand the gel coat down and paint with normal b&Q mixed black emulsion for a very tough matt finish. It's great for fibreglass, I'm doing my interior with it.
