yeah, it's big - 16" section width by 65inches wide - very light though - the whole thing (Carbon composite with honeycomb core) weighs less than 10lbs without the mountings...the side plates haven't been installed yet, but with them I should get close to 350kgs downforce at 100MPH when properly tuned. With the rear diffuser and front splitter / flat floor with rearward rake, I am targetting 600kgs or so downforce at 100MPH.

Fun stuff

If you do more than 5lbs boost, you'll want to lower the compression and swap out the rods for some forged peices at a minimum. Anything above about 215BHP will necessitate a rod swap. The engine builders I've spoken to suggest upgraded rods for even mildly tuned street engines. Another area that should be addressed is increasing the oil flow capacity via the oil pump gear change and swapping out a higher capacity pressure regulator. For even higher outputs, you may want to consider swapping out higher grade gear selector rods and output shaft as well, and possibly going to a mechanical cam chain tensioner.

...made a bit more progress this weekend - receiving and installing the C/F wing endplates from my man Mike Devins. I also finished the mods to, and trial fitted the Carbon Weezel rear diffuser - looks very purposeful I thnk!

Dude your car is amazing.. That wing is ridiculous but I love it :) Just be sure you don't mount the wing the wrong way up or else you launch to the moon >_<

you probably said this already but are you stroking the engine or keeping it the same displacement. Have started on my Hayabusa research and looking into the pros and cons of different set-ups.

I'm keeping stock displacement for now, upgrading the bottom end obviously though. I may do a small amount of head work (unshrowding valves only), but other than the intake / exhaust cam swap, the Hayabusa doesn't really need work done for turbo applications, and off-throttle response tends to suffer with larger valved engines / ported heads / too high lift from what've I've gleaned from a few experts. I am on the fence whether or not to do the engine work myself at this pt - if I don't I'm going ot have Mike Downs from Downs Engineering (who is in your neck of the woods) do the work - he's built literally 100s of N/A and turbo Hayabusa for car applications (mostly SCCA sports racers) over the years....
