Again that will be a victim of our server re-install. I know its unfortunate, and together with Nick I'll look into if we can recover any of the lost pics, but anything from the beginning of this year should be fine.

This one's taken a back seat to my mk1 project for a bit as I've decided to make a subtle (well, actually not so subtle) change to my powerplant strategy and so I am waiting for some more "go even faster" parts from Chris....the suspense, oh the suspense!!!!

any further updates? this looks cool.

Hey Monte suspense....suspense...
As far as projects go..... I have been pondering an idea.
I know Chris has modified his kit front end to accept an A-Series motor to be able to up grade the mini's suspension options abit.
THE MOD.... why not put two hayabusa engines in the mini. One front. One back.
There should be room.
The dream of an 1000 HP AWD Mini just kinda makes me grin.

Think 9.3sec quarter mile, 0-60 in 2.6sec, 380BHP, the whine of a turbo and a huge intercooler....paddle shifting all the way to a 150MPH top gear max speed

Who needs two engines?

Never can have too much speed.
Being second isn't as much fun as being first. :^D

550bhp seems about enough reliable power from a busa on standard pump gas for me. One engine is enough for a road car.
I never did like the two gear lever set-up. Or maybe the v8 hayabusa engine with twin turbo s and sequential box.

...but you might have a problem trying to accelerate the weight of that monster turbo ;), you sure 550BHP can compensate?

I agree the quickest way to get better times is for the driver to lose weight. ;)

I was kidding earlier about the two hayabusa engines. Too complicated to do and be reliable.
The thought started when I came across Minitec's K20 in the front. Supersharged K20 WITH AIRCONDITIONING!!!
THEN add Chris's K20 in the back. Pow AWD and lots of porsepower. Yes I know...where to put the gass tank.
I would however love to have the info to try to shoe-horn a AWD subaru or mitsubishi in a mini.
I know...I just dreaming.

I think the easiest way to shoe horn a Subaru or evo engine in a mini would be to buy a Monte body shell and plonk it on top of the chassis and running gear.
I used to have an evo with 300bhp and on my visit to Z cars I was thinking I need a 4WD mini. I was wrong, you don't.

nikilah

Big cc racing are ok depending what you want, if its for street or track look at the bhp figures and the price.
Then look at Seb at NLR power doing 800bhp. Some of these company's charge anywhere from 3k to 15k for a kit and some even throw in a quality Chinese turbo charger.

Thanks for the info. I have a subaru STI 04, and have always thought of the more rubber to the road and less wheel spin results in acceleration.
Things are always better on the blackboard than reality as I have experienced. I still like the blackboard though.
Have a good day.
