Went to a little meet with other like minded nutters!
Run went smooth but I've put the Falken 145 tyres on now, there was nothing wrong with the Yoko 165's but it needed a more sleeper look, you might not notice the difference but I certainly do, little bit more comfort driving and the sidewall looks more 'rounded' and that was the thing that was bugging me, the 165's were flat sidewalls, these are little old ladies sidewall
But if the sleet starts then straight back to the Yokos!
Here's the Yoko 165's
And the Falken 145's
Tyres tuck nicely in the arches, more rounded sidewall all round and just a general feeling of some impending demoralising due out on the road
Still need to put the correct tyre pressures in and get the suspension alignment done again sometime as it was done on the 165's but as these have a now 70 profile ratio as opposed the 60 before you get a slight rub on my inner wheel arch at full lock, nothing major just annoying so I know as soon as I crank up the hi los up a tad the other settings will be out, will leave that to another time though, I can handle a small annoying factor in the meantime
Just chucking in some pics, you've probably seen them before but its getting near its sleeper status now
ECU port accessible from dummy radio fascia
Have to warn garages - DON'T lift and there is a fifth gear
All looking good and on track so far

Very VERY well executed! Have i said that before?
Hands down, the best engine conversion on TMF in my opinion.

Appreciate that Ben and the others on the comments
But I'm only doing what others have done already, few ideas I've done myself but trying to keep it mini all round has been done before, either way there's always something else that needs doing to make it 100% sleeper but I won't bother with that, am happy with it now

That is very impressive how well this is done! I have just shown one of my mates who's also a petrol head the pictures above and he was wondering why I was looking at a standard "boring" mini, then he saw the engine and the penny dropped.
Love it !

Lovely. all it needs now is a standard pee-shooter exhaust with the proper tail pipe hidden like they used to do with diesel cars, actually the reverse of what is in fashion at the moment.
