Theres only really a handful of models we get over here that the popular engines come out of, on the b series the popular ones are b16a, b16a2, b16b (type-r) b18c4 b18c6 (type-r)

Honda B

I'm not that clued up on d series, there seems to be alot of different popular models

Honda D

The d series has alot more choice of standard final drives compared with the b series, power is alot more useable in the d and can easily be tuned up without going too silly, so don't worry if its the sohc or dohc, both have pros and cons

Not much to update, been waiting for stuff to come through, got a honda prelude breather plug so I can route a hose to a catch can from the block, didn't have a 14mm allen key lying around here to remove the original freeze plug but did have a 14/17mm sump plug handy......and a 17mm socket :D

Posted Image

Just the one on the driver side

Posted Image

Finally got some some caravan plugs arrive for the front end and some colour coded wiring so I can relocate my standard mini fusebox inside the cabin somewhere as theres no room for it on the bulkhead! just want to generally tidy the loom up aswell

Posted Image

I'm actually eager to get on with the wiring which is rare for me, I might make a start on the wiring tomorrow after work seeing as I'm working over new years eve so won't be in the mood to hit the sack when I get back.........so you lot enjoy yourselves eh and spare a thought while your downing another one...... :whistling:

Thanks for taking the time and the kind words mate, is appreciated  if it helps just one person in any way whatsoever then my job on earth is done! :mrcool:

Not much to update while I'm here, the guys have welded on the mini gearstick onto the honda one so thats ready for collection, could've done it myself but they got neater welds than me! that now means I can keep using the standard 4 speed gearknob - go four speed!

I'm still doing the wiring bit by bit so will carry on with that at my own pace

The main biggie deadline is it has to be done for Le Mans in june, no ifs or buts with that one, thats the deadline!

Would be nice to take it to brooklands in march but can't see that myself, worth a try though
