List is not getting shorter either, still got loads to do but main problems are booking in the front end to get it painted after I've finished it, trying to get the exhaust made up, still make the gearlinkage without the exhaust, wire in the gauges and sort out new headlight wiring from clubman to roundnose, get the block back and assemble the head, find a map and hope it starts, get the suspension setup, then run the engine in, then book it in for mapping, and fit a MOT in somewhere. And still quite a few other bits n bob to do

I'm not gonna say at this moment in time I can't make it, ain't gonna throw in the towel yet, unfortunately some of the above things need to be booked in so thats outta my hands, but will definitely give it go......
Ok, started off with wanting to sort out the bulkhead, I never like the 'paintjob' I did on it, also my welds for the box were from my early days were not the neatest

Decided to pick up some soundproofing, its similar to dynamat I think, its priced almost the same

Cut up some newspaper templates of the whole bulkhead and transferred them over

This the point where its best to remember where the holes are

Heated it up and whacked it on

Had a bit left over so did the reverse side, but only the box end

For the cabin, I still wasn't 100% sure on what to do, so got some flashing tape from wickes

Some say the primer stuff looks like chocolate when pasted, I say yeah right......it looks to me like the leftovers from the following morning after a curry the night before!

Its stinks like what it looks like

I had to get out the cabin, it honestly was that bad, so decided to work on the other side, dropped the 1.8 type-r lump in and got the correct engine position, you can see the cut out on the front removable bar

While I'm still waiting on the 2.0 lump this will give me something to at least position what I can, everything for the 2.0 will be set as it is now on this 1.8, there's still a couple of bits of items with clearance I need to look at but not much I can do about that, just gotta hope when the 2.0 lump is here it all clicks together nicely, should be interesting

One thing (apart from the rad) thats worrying me was the alternator, I want to make use of my bracket as it wasn't cheap, I got the original honda alternator here and the tiny suzuki swift one, the swift is only around 40 amps I think, I'm gonna be running some dials now and probably a sub/amp again (yes I know childish)

The honda one is definitely a no no, its basically massive, back section was hitting on the tower bolt and the pulley was pretty much on the inner wing

and thats with everything set as far back as it will go, infact there is no movement, its locked in like that!

A few months ago I bought another alternator, this time for a suzuki jimny, a 70 amp one that had the same bottom lug casting as the honda, seller kinda 'misprinted' the actual size, it also had a dent in the pulley wheel which was probably done in transit as it looked like a monkey had packed it, I wasn't happy so I left it aside as sometimes I cba with sorting crap out on ebay, but today I dug it back up, its actual size is the same as the honda, honda and two suzukis

Initially I found the new jimny one holes didn't align up with the bracket anyway

Orange bits were where its was hitting/catching
