1. dont lock your car. thasts what i do because they will do more damage breaking into it then they can nick out of it so just dont lock it. if you HAVE to leave something in it leave it in the boot because its not visable.
2. stop em stealing it. get a "red key" or battery master switch. take it with you. get a crook lock or a lock that goes over the handbrake and gear lever so its in 3rd and handbrake on full all the time when its locked and if you want to tke the rotar arm with you

Get a Smoke Screen. At least that way they can't see to take anything or drive it away. Plus it will draw attention to the car.

Im going to swansea met uni at the moment, had my mini down on Norfolk street/mount pleasant last year and nothing happened to it at all, there were about 4 minis down there last year was fine. If your up in townhill, that's where its trouble anything will get nicked. Apparently the security guards on campus were in on several of the car thefts from the townhill uni carpark earlier in the year so not safe there either! I just used a crook lock (handbrake gear lever) with a hole drilled through and an extra padlock attached. Killed my mini tho so now ive got a smart roadster down here, its made of plastic and they havn't touched that either

Hi guys, it’s a really good idea if you avoid using perspex or film on your door windows. It’s fine on competition cars as you will normally be wearing a crash helmet to protect your head. These windows are designed to shatter if your head hits it. Imagine the mess you will make when your head hits the window during a side impact. I think I would prefer some low life breaks my window

Ironic considering the local presence of the DVLA!

Well I think it's a conspiracy, or my conspiracy theory is the DVLA in Swansea pay all the local chavs and pikey's to steal cars. That way it's good for the insurance companies and the economy.

Plus with older cars getting stolen and burnt out it stops them being used for the Governments scrappage scheme.

Don't lock your car and your insurance then becomes void.

Not that it's much use unless your Mini is covered on an agreed value policy anyway.

I know its bad but I used to not bother looking for my door key on my bunch of keys as knew whichever one i used if put in half way would always open the door up - :S well bad really. Im now looking into getting an alarm fitted just for a bit of peice of mind
