Yes, my apologies you're right, brown is constant +ve but I still think that taking the power pre the fuse is safer than adding load to the fuse.
So I would go with brown for constant and light green/white for switched.

No problem. Hopefully someone can come in with a solid answer on whats safer but I can see your point about fuses, although I always wire it on the post fuse side to avoid overloading the wire itself. Where are the masters of all knowledge when you need them.

If its an Injection Model it will have 24 blade fuses in the fusebox 6 of which arnt connected they are just spare fuses in little holders 
It states that fuse number 9 is radio,automatic transmission illumination,and cooling fan relay so that ones switched.
I have an Auto and the selector only lights up after the key is switched to position II

I'd already noted he didn't have my fuse box so there's no point telling him which wire I used.
I sure someone with the same fuse box will provide the right wire to use.
