As above really... I've had a good search, but there isn't anything definitive.

Are they a good fit, and are they good value. They seem good value...., especially in kit like this one...

How do they compare to the minispares items? (Not weight, but quality... )

Maybe this could be a general lightened flywheel reviews thread? :D

Thanks in advance

James

By smooth do you mean at idle or generally to rev?

thanks for the reply.

They are the same. I know this because when I was at MED in August picking up my engine kit, one of the guys took a phone order from Mini Spares for 50 flywheels. A few weeks later I mentioned this to one of the guys on the counter at MS and he confirmed that MED and MS often get together to share the cost of developing and making components. My kit incluted a MED ultralight flywheel and it fits fine and looks to be superb quality, I can't tell you more than that as the engine is not in the car yet.

I've run an ultralight setup for a number of years, don't have a problem with it, allows the engine to spin up faster than a regular or lightened flywheel, depending upon the cam you may have to raise the idle a bit, but nothing horrendous, my 1330 running a 296 scatter idles at about 1200 rpm.

Brilliant, as long as they are the same part that mini-spares supplies, all is well.

Thanks guys
