Thats also photoshopped, the two walls are the quick give away.

Pretty sure you can get the 12" steel hubcaps from Japan to save the hunt for Imp steels. :)

Well... stay tuned to my build tread and hopefully you'll see what john has done to get the look I'm after that's also still very drivable.

Looking to change the wheels to allow me to get a wider stance. Going for 6 x 10...could anyone advise if there are wheels available with a larger -ve offset to bring them out. They will be going under GP5 arches which will be fitted at the weekend.

Cheers

Group 5 are the same as group 2 wides art they?

I have had 10x6 wellers, 10x6 revos and 10x6 ultralights on my clubby with group 2 wide arches and they all fitted rather well.

Proud to finally be able to contribute.  My "new" 1991 Mini Cooper.  Had it for a week and knew I needed 10 inchers.  Thanks to everyone for the insight and ideas.  Hope you like it as much as I do!

I plan on replacing all the drum brakes on my mini, but before I do that I want to get a set of 10x6s first to see how far they actually stick out with my stock setup. If they don't stick out far enough for what I want, I was gonna get the 1" spacered drums for all 4 wheels. I can see spacers not being safe, but are the molded in spacers on the drums not safe aswell?

The built in extended drums are fine with longer wheel studs. I had that set up on mine before changing to 7.5 discs on the front, with 10x6 GB Minilite alloys. Due to the offset the spacered drums were required for clearance past the shocks. The wheels stuck out 1/2 past the mini special arches on the back.

Just watch the offset of the wheels you choose, as deep dished wheels plus spacers will throw the wheels out further and will put more strain on wheel bearings etc.

Before fitting the extended drums, it had those bolt on extended studs and alloy spacers, which I never had much faith in. They are OK provided the extensions are torqued up properly, but trying to get all 4 studs tight and aligned with the slots in the spacer was a pain.
