It all depends on your offset and how low you want to go. Some one here has the wood and pickett arches with 10x6 +3 offset and looks greatHi could someone tell me if I need to cut the arches to fit 10x6s. I have a 1993 mini. I know I need to fit smaller discs just wondered if I need to.cut the arches which I want to avoid.
Thanks

Thanks for the reply. That's good as I already have w&p arches Not really looking to lower my car much. Is there generally up to a certain offset that will fit or is it quite dependant on individual cars and setup.

The restoration on my Mini still has a long ways to go, but I'm stockpiling unique 10s.

I have bought 7.5 inch brake set up. Do you have to mod the arch for them to fit ?
What size is best to fit 10x6 10x5 ?
Etc etc
The more info the better if you can please.
Thanks in advance

Any info on 10 inch split rims please
There is no difference between a split rim width and a normal mini wheel width in terms of having to cut the wing or go with bigger wheel arches.
You need to learn about offset in relation to wheel width and work out what is the maximum ET(offset) you can use on your current car. You can't get a tyre wide enough to run on the road with 10x7 i would recommend no wider than 10x6.5.
For example a 10x5 minilite +100 has offset ET15 so the centre of the wheel sits inward by 15mm. With offset of ET0 you would have wheel centre directly in line with the hub face so 2.5" out and 2.5" in.
If your buying new wheels i would presume force racing, they'll be able to inform you exactly what you need from your target ET.

Why do the Japanese Meshes always look so much better than Alleycats?
