This is prob the wrong place to ask but since we all got 10s Ill figure ill ask. Why do some race car minis or autoX minis have 10x6 and some 10x4.5 (or 4.75 rose petals). Whats the difference? does one size handle better?

It'd have to do with the specific class rules and regulations. Historic classes have close to standard size wheels and the more extreme classes have wider rimsThis is prob the wrong place to ask but since we all got 10s Ill figure ill ask. Sadly I don't. I've been working on what should have been a relatively simple suspension refresh in fits and start, but that has stretched into several years. In that picture the only thing in the back of the car is the rear subframe. All the suspension components are on the workbench. My goal is to push to finish this summer so I can drive it again and then get some better pictures.
I do expect they'll stick out a fair bit more than my previous wheel/tire combo so flares will be necessary at some point.

Anybody got any good examples of 10" rostyles especially on roundnose minis as I've got a set of 5 lying about from a past mini and thinking of doing a project based around them,

Kombi do you know the paint code for the colour of you wheels?
Offhand, I do not, but I'll see if I can find out tomorrow.
I think it's the gold the fellow who did the refinishing would use on the mesh wheels that came on BMWs in the 80's since that's how and when he got his start. Evidently the dealers would have the wheels refinished along with replating the badging in gold chrome. So in all likelihood it's not even a factory a color, but instead something he's come up with on his own. Still, I'll see if I can get in touch with him.

Nice, mine came with an 850 I bought a couple of years back but it also had a 1275gt steering wheel so I reckon somebody pinched them of a ruined one of those. I much prefer them with the black detailing. YOu happen to know if templates for painting them are available?
