www.nfauto.co.uk

These are electric de-misters / heaters and wire in to a live feed like your stereo. They fix under you dash and mean instant heat in the morning and throwing away the shitty over-sized un-reliable mini unit.
Three settings are off, fan, fan and heat. sorted.

You could direct two at you at you and passenger seat and two at screen and be snug as a bug. I've only bought two for front screen only as my cabin will be small and will get heat from engine too!

Cool cheers mate, might be a bit too much from my battery and alternator though, although they would be good for extra heat first thing in the morning

Be careful with your Electric, as you only have a R1 altenator. The busa is only 29Amps, I suspect the R1 will be about the same. Thats not very much the average car and Mini would be atleast 45-55 amps, and those heating elements eat the amps up, I am going to fit the original heater unit and try and have the spare stator rotor rewound (alternator internals) and get her up to 35ish amps.

Let me know how you do it because I will do the same.
I will talk to some megabusa owners and others like it, because they all use those heaters, so must have got around the lack of ampage.
They might use the same way you suggest.

Those of you who have read my wanted post will know that I was "gazumped" on a mini minus shell when I thought I had a done deal. I am gutted as they do not come up for sale very often.
Please keep your eyes peeled for me folks.
There's a crate of stella in it for you.

I now have no need for knuckle joints or rubber donuts because of the coilover suspension.

The only way to remove these items easliy is to remove the front subframe. So I figured if it has to come off, I might aswell take this oppurtunity to replace all subframe to body mounting rubbers with poly ones.

Also whilst it's off I'm gonna get the subframe, top arms, bottom arms and tie rods shot blast and powder coated.

Here is the subframe...

This pic shows the removed subframe with the top arm that I'm holding (this is to be retained), plus the knuckle joint to be removed.
