Model:Austin Morris Mini Pickup
Year:1979

Have got my door hinges off the car, and realised that some lovely person had re-pinned them all backwards. I've now got them all matching up, but which numbers relate to which part of the car? Ie Which hinge goes driver's top etc?

Cheers
Dan

Hi..hinges are handed and the curved part on the small side wich fits to top of the A-panel can not be mixed up as this only fits L/H/S or R/H/S as for the bottom hinges these also have a slight curve ..........

I had this written down somewhere but couldn't find my notes. Digging through old threads I found this information. Look inside the back of each hinge piece and you'll find casting numbers. They identify where the hinge goes.

"They fit 1/2 on top right; 3/4 on top left; 5/6 on bottom right; 7/8 on bottom left. Left and right are as viewed from inside of the car facing forward"

EDIT:
Don't forget that the hinges that fit the curved door area need a wedge shaped washer on the inside. If you can't find these washers, make your own. Use a piece of 1/2" diameter aluminum rod, drill a clerance hole through the center for a 1/4" diameter bolt, then cut them off with a hacksaw. One side will be flat, the other side will be cut about 10 to 15 degrees to the flat cut.

Thanks Doug. Huey's passenger door needs rehanging so I've copied that to my huge pile of mini info and called it "door hinges" so even I can find it. :D Probably.
