hi ,
i am after some bonnet gas struts for my mini, do they exist or shall i stay with the standard bonnet stay.

Mini Spares make such a kit. The bonnet doesn't cope well with being pressed down against anything at the back edge though. Even pressing it down too hard against the rear edge seal (the wrap around type) or the standard hinges can cause the bonnet edges to crease at the front end of the seal or hinge and the bonnet to bend.

tried gettin some from minispares but they havnt had them for a while, have to use a piece of timber as a bonnue strut now origionals rusted out!!!
how badly will they damage the panel and over what time?
