I have one fitted to my mpi, was very simple to fit,the filter is held on the throttle body with the jubilee clip & the bracket shown in the pic is for the throttle cable end onto the injection rail, sorry i dont have a pic !

They don't really do much to be honest, and you could make one out of some hoseing and cable ties hehe
If you do fit it, and it gets alot of cold there then be careful becase your carb could ice more easily.

personally i would get this one instead, its cheaper for a start :D

when i had an injection mini i had one of these fitted, far supperior to the K&N as it solid mounts to a plate attached to the throttle body. i've lost count the number of injection mini owners who have had the K&N and complain about it coming off all the time because its held on with a jubilee clip.

i also feel the induction noise and flow rate on the pipercross one are better as rolling roads have shown.

this is the same filter just the older metal mesh style i used to have, as you can see its alot better looking but to get this older version, you pay a premium.

could you explain how the carb ices up on an injection mini? :D

the kit above is the whole filter and hoses as a kit not just the hoses (just incase someone got confused)

1. Unscrew the original filter housing & bracket.
2. Undo the throttle cable bracket.
3. Fit new bracket & slot in throttle cable.
4. Whack on new filter & tighten up jubilee clip.

Easy.

Doesn't make any noticeable difference to performance on an Mpi, but it does make a nice sucky sound. :D

I took the tubey bits off after a few hundred miles. They look silly & don't really do anything.

The pipes are to direct air from the grille to the filter & held on with the cable ties !

The pipes on mine are two different different sizes, one fits inside the other & is then long enough to reach from the grille right up to the filter on the drivers side !

Looking at your link i would say they are two different sizes !

My induction kit is unbranded. I think it is made by Lidl or Aldi. :D
The tubes are extendabubble, but they're only useful if you breed hamsters or ferrets.

haha.

I will try and get on with the two pipes inside each other, although surely that wouldnt make any difference if one is inside another?

Do they just cable tie to other pipes then, or just anything that is cable tie-able.

Anything that doesn't get too hot, or come loose, yep.
