Fantastic looking car!! I have a 1960 Austin 850 that I am going to completely tear down and restore one of these days, right now I am having too much fun just driving the thing around. I have the original 850 motor that I will probably eventually rebuild and stick back in it when I do and then find me another one I can put my hopped up 1360 in to smash around in.

well we got it to brighton and back to tunbridge wells to drop off one of the family, but the fuel smell that had wafted about since leaving brighton got alot worse.
popped the bonnet to find fuel launching out of the carb all over the manifold so driving the rest of the way to cambs was out of the question. after a call to the aa we got back home at midnight.

the weekend was great though. the interest in the car was mad we hadnt even stopped and we were surrounded by french people at crystal palace

heres a few pics of her from the weekend

the eagle eye of you will notice the replaced front bumper, its a early type thats in loads better condition than the previous one, most of the chrome work will be coming off over the winter to get rechromed as most of it is pitted

we scored 174 out of 200 and got 3rd in the pre 1970 class, we also talked to quentin wilson who loved the car and got out concours certificate signed by paddy hopkirk
