Well after all the positive posts from members me and my dad managed to get my barn find morris in to its new home.
In the day light its a bit more work than we first thought but there by no means hard jobs. Only major one is the hole above the rear subframe in the boot floor. i didnt see it in the barn as it was so dark in there.

heres a few pics to start with

Brilliant, so glad you bought this, and managed to get it home. Think you did really well even allowing with the additional work you weren't expecting.

Can't help with the fuel pump I'm afraid, but great that you've got a thread started so quickly (subscribed!) and look forward to seeing progress - take your time and enjoy bringing your find back to life :D

This is like the unexpected mega find on the Antiques Road Show where the dusty gemstone is worth a fortune! Of course all our minis are worth a lot to us, but occasionally there's The Big One. Congrats!

Awesome find mate, not to many totally original minis knocking around.

I be scared with what to with that thinking about it. The interior looks gorgeous, just a bit of a spit and polish there me thinks.

Good luck and look forward to the updates.

It's fantastic to see such an original, unmolested Mini that has clearly been sat, waiting patiently, for someone to come along and give it a second chance. Good luck with the restoration.

Bit more progress from the weekend. Finaly got all the dust off and all the straw out of the interior. Digging round underneath has revealed that a new subframe may be needed. its looking a but sorry for itself with one headlight but i caught my leg on the glass a few times so it had to come out.

Thats beautiful!!

Must be over the moon with that.

I'd be tempted to leave it as it is and preserve its patina(?). Do a mechanical refurb and then use it.
