Just read through your build, very nice! Can i ask how did you manage to get your engine block so clean? And where did you get your roll cage from? Im just starting out my project but i have the engine and its a bit manky to say the least!

I've just been reading your thread too!
I just painted the engine block with high temp silver paint. Cleaned it as best I could first but just wasn't good enough. Stripped everthing off and emoved all the engine covers and sprayed them.
The roll cage is from The Roll Centre. Mines welded in but a 'bolt in' is available I think

Did you manage to get your motor fired up? I found this very useful

Not yet. Waiting for my neutral switch to arrive at the moment. Your thread was useful - I double checked my tilt sensor switch and found I had it mounted incorrectly.
Yeh that site helped me out loads. Found it quite early on in my build process and is pretty helpful for all the electrical side
Heading to Coombe as well on Saturday. Wheels are next on my shopping list and are the last big spend on the project for me

A bit of tidying up of the front loom to lights was needed
Posted Image Posted Image

Finally got the rear section of headlining to stay in place. Now considering using the same method on the other two sections as the finish is much neater

No more clambering in, out, in, out as the interior is at last finished (unless i redo the headlining as above). Dashboard in place. Fits pretty well and im pleased everything lined up exactly as it should

Wheels have arrived. Really quick turn around on the rims although i just need to wait for the centre caps to be anodised.
Im really pleased with them - ive bought a lot of parts for my mini and to be honest some well know brands have left me pretty disappointed with fit, quality, time etc but these are the nuts

6 inch wide. Went for equal sized rims of 3 inches so the centre sits almost in the middle but with a half inch offset inwards.
Just had the tyres fitted today. Proved a challenge for the fitters but they didn't damage the wheels thankfully
