I've actually just redone all the vaccum pipe work. Original work wasn't the best and I think there was a leak to be honest - so that's done.

I don't have a catch tank for engine oil no - as for the diff (no reverse on mine) I have that little clear plastic jar that is piped to it

Exhaust system arrived today. Went with PlayMini in the end as a stainless Maniflow system was over 3 times more expensive. Happy with my choice and fitting it will keep me occupied as i have no mounting points for reference with the beam frame at the rear.

Also got a tin of red paint made up to finish off the underside which is partially covered in chassis black around the exhaust tunnel. Does the job but looked messy and not in keeping with the rest of the project.

I didn't enjoy doing it last time as its a pretty tight fit laying underneath and i can say the same again now but it will be worth it in the end

Having trouble with the clutch slave cylinder. Can't get it to bleed properly as when I depress the clutch pedal there is no movement from the slave cylinder and if I pull the pushrod my hand the return spring doesn't appear to be strong enough to push the piston back even with no fluid in the cylinder.

the PlayMini link pipe isn't sleeved so it doesn't fit over the Pro-motive downpipes. So got a joining sleeve in the post to attach the two pipes together that way.

Im going to fit an additional spring to the slave cylinder to help return it as the R1 clutch return spring cant do it. Not helped that the slave isn't quite in the right location which puts the pushrod at an angle that causes more resistance on its return

Lovely car mate. I'm really tempted with one of these kits, how did you find it? Is it the 164bhp motor you're running?

The sump looks like it seats quite close to the floor, any ideas how low it is in comparison to the standard a series sump?

Yeh the 5pw injection engine was meant to be about that in power but I think in reality most bike manufacturers were a bit optimistic with bhp.

The sump is very low - I think you can just about stand an iPhone underneath it. Bit lower than when it had the A series

Thanks for the info. How do you find the kit? Is it well made etc? Is it quick? Is there anything you don't like about it? Sorry for all the questions, I really fancy purchasing one of these kits and want to make sure it's right for me.

Quick? I've no idea I've not driven mine yet!
But I hope it lives up to my expectations after all the time and money that's gone into it.
Yeh the kit is really good I wasn't disappointed with anything and the after sales support is excellent.

back home for a little more progress hopefully.

exhaust hangers ready to fit along with a section to join the link pipe to the manifold.

also got a new clutch master cylinder as my old rebuilt one struggles to push any fluid.
