Easy to cut and apply. I was happy with it

A week of work on the mini began with a trip to John Holloway Cars to collect a few sprayed items. Mirrors, bumpers and wheel arches and im really pleased with them.
Wheel arches have been fitted and i used the rubber trim for the sportspack arches. ridiculously expensive but sticks to the arch very well and really tidies up the fitment. I've used small M4 bolts where possible to secure them and long self tappers where the rear of the holes aren't accessible.
Fitted the dreaded chrome sill finisher after plenty of heating and bending to straighten it out as much as i could. I was only fitting it between the wheel arches but still tricky.
Refitted fuel tank after tidying up the light cluster wiring with a block connector.
Fitted the bumpers - I went for a different approach with getting these sprayed. I've had them done in the same body colour red which was my original intention when i started this some 5 years ago.
I think black may have been better in hindsight but it certainly makes the front and rear look a little different to the normal chrome and i didn't want to change the design this late in the project.
Some more photos to follow tomorrow

After discovering the positive terminal and its wires were not producing any contact I sorted it out and thought I might get it going at last.
Removed a coil and with a spare spark plug I had a healthy spark when cranking the engine.
Ignition on, pump kicks in, checked fuel is going to and from the rail, turn the key, starter motor turns and the engine sounds like it wants to start but still no joy.
Got in touch with Phil at pro-Motive and he has given me a list of things to check and rule out so I'm working my way through them - so far all is as it should be

After a number of emails back and forth to Phil he realised there was no 12v feed going to the injectors from the pump relay.
With this sorted the engine still wouldn't start and let out a number of concening loud bangs followed by a haze of smoke in the car.
So I spent the evening taking the whole loom out and it's being boxed up to send to Phil to check it over.
Bit of a set back and it's frustrating having to undo so much work

Got the loom back so just going to reinstall it carefully bit by bit. I do have a power commander so maybe that was causing a problem so I will try without it to begin with.

Got lots of photos from all the bodywork stages of the build. This took place from feb - nov 2008 and was all carried out by Joe at John Holloway Cars
How she used to look - not too far removed from when I purchased the car in 2003

In total I think it had a rear valance, A panels and both sills replaced. Front end, bonnet and boot are carbon fibre and the doors are aluminium.
